NIYAM coordinates project execution records. It does not design building systems, detect clashes, control live equipment, grant statutory approval or certify installation and commissioning results.
Review access and controlsCan electrical, HVAC, plumbing and fire teams use one site?
Yes. Use clear work areas, milestones, tasks and responsible people for each discipline. The shared site context helps the coordination team see dependencies without removing trade ownership.
Can NIYAM detect MEP clashes?
No. Use your design and coordination tools for technical clash detection. Record the reviewed issue, responsible response and supporting evidence in NIYAM so the follow-up remains accountable.
How are cable and fitting movements tracked?
Record confirmed receipts and supported usage by site. Riverbend shows 420 metres of cable received and 260 used, leaving 160 recorded for physical verification.
Does NIYAM approve testing or commissioning?
No. It retains submitted files and the human review trail. Qualified engineers, consultants, clients and authorities remain responsible for testing, certification and acceptance.
Can cost access differ from field access?
Yes. Supported roles and site assignments control internal views. Client-facing records include only the progress and documents your authorised team selects for sharing.
Can an assistant summarise open work by trade?
A connected assistant can prepare source-linked findings where supported. The MEP coordinator checks the technical context and proposed action before anything is saved or shared.
